This morning we enjoy a panoramic tour of the city. The city's buildings are striking milestones in a unique and beguiling biography, and a great many of them – the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben are instantly recognizable landmarks. But you will also see St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Tower Bridge. The afternoon is at leisure, before we head for an early dinner. After dinner, we continue our evening at the Tower of London; we arrive after regular visiting hour. A former royal residence, treasury, mint, armory and zoo, it is perhaps now most remembered as the prison where a king, three queens and many nobles met their deaths. Our tour starts with a guided tour through the grounds of the fortress, before finishing with the Evening Ceremony of the Keys, where you witness the worlds longest running military ceremony. The evening finishes, around 10pm, and we return to the hotel.
