From Fairbanks, your evening begins with a personalized forecast call before you set out into the Alaskan wilderness. Guided by experts, your small group travels through the night, sometimes up to three hours from town, chasing the clearest skies. Along the way, the heated vehicle offers comfort and warmth as you wait for nature's show. When the northern lights appear, curtains of color sweep across the stars, shifting and dancing above. Your guide helps you capture it all with photos and included portraits, ensuring the memory lasts long after your return to Fairbanks before dawn.

Treat yourself to a relaxing sightseeing evening on your Alaska vacation. Relax in the famous Chena Hot Springs and view Northern Lights. Only 60 miles (100 kilometers) from Fairbanks, this world-renowned resort offers a day of rest and relaxation in the historical location discovered by natives and early miners. Enjoy the mineral hot springs in a beautiful natural setting and experience the dancing of the northern lights. Along the way we almost always spot Moose. Food and beverages are available at the local restaurant.

Immersed in the "golden heart" of Alaska's interior, a free day in Fairbanks blends frontier history with natural wonder. Consider a visit to Pioneer Park where you can learn about Arctic life at the Museum of the North, or a soak in the nearby Chena Hot Springs. A stroll along the river of the same name (Chena) is highly recommended, is best complimented with samples of local comfort foods, and best wrapped-up with a visit to one of the many micro-breweries that showcase Alaskan flair and flavors. In winter, the aurora borealis may steal the show, while in the summer, long daylight hours paired with a relaxed local rhythm serve to encourage long and fulsome days
