Departure flight to Tirana.

Arrival at Tirana airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to begin exploring Tirana, a colourful and vibrant capital, lively, and constantly evolving. The city is appreciated for its warm atmosphere and fascinating blend of history and culture. Overnight in Tirana.

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, then depart around 8:30 am for Durres, one of the oldest cities in Albania. Here, you will visit the impressive amphitheatre of Emperor Hadrian, a historical landmark offering insight into the importance of Durres during Roman times. Continue to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will discover both the old and new parts of the city during a guided visit of approximately 2 hours. You will then visit the Berat fortress, where you will have the opportunity to taste homemade products in a traditional house. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Overnight in Berat. After breakfast at the hotel, drive toward the Ardenica Monastery, nestled in the hills and featuring the Church of Saint Mary and the Chapel of the Holy Trinity. In the afternoon, continue to Gjirokaster, known as the “City of Stone” and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Argjiro Castle, which dominates the valley and offers breathtaking views. End the day with a visit to the Ethnographic Museum, illustrating the cultural heritage of this unique city. Overnight in Gjirokaster. (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel, then head toward Saranda. On the way, stop at the Blue Eye, one of Albania’s most remarkable natural springs. Then enjoy a 2-hour visit of one of the most important archaeological sites in the country: Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient city, founded by Greek colonists and continuously inhabited for centuries, reveals unique archaeological layers reflecting various periods: Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and medieval. Continue to Ksamil, a small seaside resort renowned for its turquoise Ionian waters. Stop to admire its fine sandy beaches, which make it one of the most photogenic places on the entire Albanian Riviera. Overnight in Saranda. (Breakfast)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive along the stunning Albanian Riviera, following the Ionian coastline through the picturesque villages of Lukovë, Qeparo, and Himara. Expect breathtaking landscapes between turquoise waters and dramatic mountains. Photo stop at Ali Pasha Castle in Porto Palermo before arriving in Vlora, the historic city where Albania proclaimed its independence. City tour followed by free time to enjoy the city at your own pace or relax on Vlora’s beaches. Return to the hotel around 6:00 PM. Overnight in Vlora. (Breakfast)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the ancient city of Apollonia, located along the famous Via Egnatia. Once one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, Apollonia was a major cultural and commercial centre. Continue to Tirana, the dynamic capital of Albania, for an exterior visit of its key landmarks such as the central Sheshi Skënderbej Square, the Tomb of Kapllan Pasha, the Clock Tower, one of Tirana’s historical symbols and the Tanners’ Bridge. Return to the hotel around 6:00 PM. Overnight in Tirana. (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel, then depart for the medieval town of Kruja. Walk through the Ottoman bazaar before reaching the fortress, now home to the Skanderbeg Museum.Continue to Shkodra, where you will discover the hilltop Rozafa Castle, offering a spectacular 360° view of the city, Shkodra Lake, and surrounding mountains. End the visit with a stroll through the pedestrian area, where Italian and Austrian architecture blend harmoniously. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Overnight in Tirana. (Breakfast)
