We start your first day in Spain with a walking tour of Seville, visiting the Cathedral/Giralda and Alcázar of Seville. The ancient cobblestone streets of Seville tell a story, and with your guide, you will walk its streets and learn about the capital of Andalusia (tour is approx 4 hrs) In the evening, transfer on own to Torre del Oro, before enjoying a sunset cruise along the Guadalquivir River, the only navigable River in Spain, before capping off the day with a cocktail.

Before your cooking class begins, the first stop is a visit the market to purchase the ingredients! Afterwards, it is “hands on” as you learn some of the secrets to local cooking. During the cooking class enjoy a sshort olive oil tasting and appetizers, with bread ad bread sticks (picos), and finally Andalusian cheese tasting The rest of the day is at leisure, or you can discover Sevilla with the tour leader Don´t miss Triana or Santa Cruz Quarter!

Today you will say goodbye to Seville and head out for our next stop - Granada. Along the way, we stop in Córdoba, for a tour of the city including the Mosque and visit of an olive oil farm on the way. One of Andalucia’s most fascinating cities, Córdoba stands out thanks to its interesting mix of Roman, Moorish, and Spanish cultures. One of the world's greatest works of Islamic architecture, the Mezquita of Córdoba tells the long history of Andalucia. We then continue to Granada with stop in an Olive Oil Farm. Did you know - Spain produces the most olive oil in the world and the tree is central to Spanish cuisine and culture. We tour an olive oil farm and learn about the process of producing olive oil, and sample some local olives.

Shopping streets such as Mesones are within minutes. There are many tapas bars in nearby Navas Street.

On your first day in Granada, you will visit the Alhambra, one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces in the historic Islamic world while containing many notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. Generalife Gardens, dates back to the 13th century, originally used as a summer palace and country estate of the location’s rulers, you can now stroll the cypress tree-lined courtyards. After this visit, there is time at leisure for lunch (not included). Before in the afternoon, your tour leader will take you to stroll around the Sacromonte and the Albayzín neighbourhoods, which allow you to see some of the character in Andalucía. You will also visit the famous San Nicolas Viewpoint.

After breakfast, we depart Granada and travel towards Malaga. As you travel over the mountains, we will reach Ronda which is famous throughout Spain for its gaping river gorge with a sheer drop of 360 feet which separates the medieval from the 18th Century parts of town. Ronda is divided into three areas: the city or old Arab medina, which is the most important from a historical point of view, the San Francisco neighborhood, separated by the Walls, and the Mercadillo neighborhood. After enjoying a short walking tour, with an English speaking guide (approx 2 hrs), we continue on to Malaga. Upon arrival, in the afternoon, short walking panoramic tour of Málaga. Learn the history of the theatre before moving on to the best-preserved Alcazaba in Spain and enjoy the views of the city from Gibralfaro Castle.

Granada to Malaga via Ronda

No visit to this region of Spain is complete without taking to to some of the white villages. We depart on a full day tour (max 8 hrs), to discover Nerja and Frigiliana, two pinturesque villages of Andalusia: Frigiliana has a rich history going back as far as Phoenician, Roman, and Moorish times. There is time for a short stop and light tapas at a local Tavernm before continuing on to Nerja, a bright town on the Málaga coast which has a beautiful sea front formed by beaches, coves and cliffs. Its historic quarter has fine examples of popular architecture, with lovely walks and emblematic spots such as the Balcón de Europa, a splendid viewpoint over the sea.

Today is a day of leisure, where you can relax, enjoy the beach, or do some last minute shopping. Optional activity (not included, additional cost) Learn more about the relationship between maritime culture and the city of Malaga. The sailor on land: ships and nets. The espetos, and more specifically the sardine espetos, are a classic of Malaga gastronomy. One of the delicacies most appreciated by locals and tourists alike. Enjoy a master class on the preparation and traditional cuisine of espetos de sardinas. An activity where you can learn the art of the espeto, which has been rooted in the coast of Malaga for centuries. You will visit the fishermen´s quarter of Malaga, as well as a craft workshop of the typical boats called jábegas. After the visit and the cooking workshop, you will be able to taste sardine espetos. This evening, a farewell dinner.
