Overview

Trip Overview

Discover Alaska’s pristine natural wonders on this captivating 7-day Alaska vacation. Explore an ethereal world of dancing northern lights, picture-perfect winter landscapes, and relaxing hot springs.

Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, and marvel at the 5,000 ft (1,524 m) peaks cradling the town. Set out on an unforgettable journey in search of the ethereal northern lights, venturing beyond the city into the most picturesque corners of the greater Anchorage area, including a daytime winter photo tour to Chugach State Park, Turnagain Arm, and the coast of Cook Inlet.

Board the Aurora Winter Train and settle into your heated railcar with comfortable seats and large picture windows, fully immersing you in Alaska’s winter wonderland just outside. Follow the same tracks as the iconic summer Denali Star Train and venture into the untouched snow-covered landscape blanketing North America’s highest mountain peak, stopping in Talkeetna, Healy, and Nenana en route to Fairbanks, the largest city in interior Alaska with a small-town charm.

Witness the aurora borealis during an experience like no other during your evening Chena Hot Springs Northern Light tour. Marvel at the intricate ice sculpture at the Aurora Ice Museum before dipping into renowned mineral water baths, with the mystical Alaskan night sky brought to life by the northern lights. Embark on one final northern lights tour outside of Fairbanks, nestling into comfortable yurts, some of the best seats in the world to watch the northern lights.
