Start this morning with a visit to Rizal Park, named in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. After a brief photo stop, the journey continues to the Walled City of Intramuros, showcasing the remnants of Spain's conquistadores. The first stop in Intramuros is Fort Santiago, an old Spanish fortress at the mouth of the Pasig River, where significant events in Philippine history took place. Next, stroll through the cobbled streets to San Agustin Church, the oldest stone church in the country, and admire its extensive collection of ecclesiastical icons, vestments, and other religious artifacts. Across the street is Casa Manila, a replica of a 19th-century house, featuring a blend of European decor and Philippine antique furniture. Afterward, board a horse-drawn carriage called a 'calesa' and head to Chinatown in Binondo, crossing the Pasig River and continuing to Binondo Church, a historic landmark built by the Spaniards in 1596. Disembark at the church entrance for a brief stop and then walk towards Ongpin Street, known for its Chinese-style arches at the entrance. This narrow street leads to a network of alleys and side streets filled with small shops, Chinese drugstores, restaurants, and residential houses. Binondo's commercial activity includes banks, retail and wholesale shops offering a variety of items, from Chinese delicacies to textiles, jewelry, and construction materials. A leisurely walk will take you to numerous gold jewelry shops at the other end of Ongpin, near the entrance to Sta. Cruz Church. Make a brief stop at Sta. Cruz Church, built in 1608 by Jesuit priests, then proceed to Escolta, just a few blocks away. Rich in history, Escolta was once a convoy route for the British Navy from 1762 to 1764 and served as a shopping center for the elite during the Spanish and American eras. Today, two notable pre-World War II buildings remain: the neo-Classical Regina Building and the Philippine art deco Perez-Samanillo Building. Spend some time exploring the area before returning to your hotel.

Get picked up from your hotel and catch an early ferry to Bohol for a day trip showcasing the island's wonders. Begin at the Philippine Tarsier Foundation in Corella, a sanctuary for the world's smallest primate, the tarsier. Marvel at these rare, nocturnal creatures in their natural habitat as they leap from tree to tree and swivel their heads nearly 360 degrees. Next, head to Baclayon for a brief stop at the historic Blood Compact site, where Spain's Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and local chieftain Datu Sikatuna sealed their friendship with a symbolic drink. In Baclayon, visit a centuries-old stone church with a museum that houses a collection of religious art, ecclesiastical vestments, and Latin librettos inscribed on animal skins. Continue the tour through the Bilar man-made forest, a dense growth of towering mahogany trees lining the highway to the Chocolate Hills, a geological marvel. From a distance, these hills resemble huge candy drops and change color with the season, appearing 'chocolate' brown in summer. Hike up to the viewpoint for a panoramic view of the area before proceeding to the Loboc River. Enjoy a relaxing cruise downstream on a floating restaurant, complete with a delicious lunch served on board. Return to Tagbilaran Pier for your ferry transfer back to Cebu.

Get picked up at your hotel and start by experience the rich musical heritage of the Philippines with a visit to the Alegre Guitar Factory in Cebu. Discover the craftsmanship behind their beautifully made guitars, exploring the various types, colors, and materials used in their creation, which are also exported internationally. Next, head to Cebu City and the Mactan Shrine, the historic site where the locals resisted Spanish invaders and where Magellan met his end. Visit Fort San Pedro, a Spanish military fortification designed to protect against Muslim raiders. At Magellan's Cross, planted by Magellan himself, you'll see a significant symbol of Filipino Catholic faith. Then, join in a spirited cheer of "Viva Sto. Nino!" at the Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino, the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country and home to the famous Sto. Niño statue. Capture the history of Cebu at the Cebu Heritage Monument, a tableau of sculptures depicting key historical events and figures. Enjoy a museum-hopping experience starting with the Yap San Diego Ancestral House, one of the oldest surviving residential structures in the Philippines, built by Chinese merchants in the late 17th century. Continue to Casa Gorordo, the former residence of Juan Gorordo, Cebu's first Filipino bishop, where you can view a collection of historical relics. Conclude the tour with a visit to the Taoist Temple, a cultural center for the Chinese community featuring dragon paintings, altars, Buddha statues, and beautiful pagoda roofs, complemented by a lotus flower-adorned pool. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.
