Proceed to the arrivals hall and look for our local representative who will be waiting for your group with a sign. You will take a private transfer to your hotel.

Today you will have a free day in Medellin to explore some of the recommended highlights of the city. A good option is also to visit the Museum of Antioquia, the second oldest museum in the country, where you can find collections of pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary art. The museum is located in the heart of the city and in front of the museum is the Botero Park, with a small square with 23 large bronze statues donated by the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, who was born in Medellin. The Arví Park, a bicycle tour of the city, a visit to the La Minorista Market Square or a trip to one of the nearby towns of Carmen de Viboral or Santa Elena are some of the recommended activities in the city.

An innovative program of urban development that combines modern means of public transport and the construction of public parks and areas of recreation for the local people turned Medellín from the most dangerous city in the world into a modern example of urban transformation.

Explore the Andean capital of Colombia on a full day tour. Get an insight of the history of city visiting the “Pueblito Paisa” and enjoy perfect views of the city. Explore the famous Botero Plaza downtown with an exhibition of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose sculptures have become a landmark of the city. Breakfast at the hotel and then group will be picked up for a private full day tour to Guatape and Piedra Penal with English speaking guide. Lunch is also included today. This tour is approx. 10 hours

The Peñol Boulder is one of the most spectacular destinations in the surrounding area of Medellín. The 200-meter-high monolith can be climbed with a staircase of 740 steps. Enjoy breathtaking views over the stunning surroundings full of green mountains and blue lakes. The village of Guatapé is famous for its church and its beautiful, colourful paintings that decorate the houses of the village. On this day trip we will take you on a scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia. You can climb the Peñol Boulder, enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch on the waterfront of the Guatapé reservoir, explore the lake on a boat ride and take time to stroll and relax.
