Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival in Milan, you’ll be transferred to Turin, a city that feels like a graceful secret waiting to be discovered. Nestled at the foot of the Alps, Turin combines baroque grandeur with a warm, contemporary soul. Use the rest of the day to relax after your travels, soak in the elegance of its piazzas, or begin your adventure with a stroll past tree-lined boulevards, stately cafés, and fashionable boutiques. Tonight, rest well—tomorrow the real magic begins.

Today, step into the sophisticated, mysterious world of Turin on a guided walking tour that unearths both its splendor and secrets. Wander through streets lined with ornate arcades and historic palaces. You'll marvel at the majestic Mole Antonelliana, a towering symbol of the city and home to the National Cinema Museum, and view the Turin Cathedral, where the enigmatic Holy Shroud is kept. As the tour winds down, you’ll pause at a historic café for a taste of Bicerin, a traditional local drink made of silky espresso, rich hot chocolate, and frothy cream. It's served in glass so you can admire each decadent layer—a delicious ritual savored by locals for centuries. This is Turin at its most elegant and indulgent.

This morning, you’ll venture into the rolling hills and forests surrounding Alba, guided by an expert Trifulau and their faithful dogs in search of the elusive white truffle—the gold of Piedmont. Learn how these precious fungi are sniffed out beneath ancient roots and gain insight into the centuries-old techniques behind this revered practice. After the hunt, enjoy a tasting of truffle-based delicacies, paired beautifully with local wines. In the afternoon, head into the heart of Alba’s Truffle Festival, a lively celebration of Piedmont’s culinary riches. Your visit includes admission and two tastings of regional wines. Browse artisanal stalls, meet local producers, and take in the lively atmosphere filled with the aromas of hazelnuts, cheeses, and of course, truffles. It's a perfect blend of tradition, festivity, and flavour.

Today is yours to design. Sleep in or rise early for a quiet walk as the city wakes up. Perhaps revisit your favorite piazza, explore a hidden museum, or sip an aperitivo while watching locals go about their day. This is your chance to embrace la dolce vita at your own pace. If you're feeling adventurous, consider a visit to the nearby Venaria Reale palace, or simply indulge in the little luxuries—an extra scoop of gelato, a glass of Nebbiolo in the sun, or a leisurely lunch featuring tajarin pasta and slow-cooked sauces. This day is about you and your own Italian story.

Today you head deeper into the Piedmont countryside, exploring the rolling Monferrato wine region, where vines stretch as far as the eye can see. Stop at a charming local cellar to enjoy a tasting of Barbera, the bold red wine that defines the region, paired with simple, delicious local bites like salumi, cheeses, and fresh bread. Then it’s on to Canelli, home to the legendary underground wine cathedrals—UNESCO-protected cellars that stretch for miles beneath the hills. Here, you’ll learn the story of Italy’s original Spumante, made using a meticulous method that has endured for centuries. Wander through arched tunnels lined with bottles aging in silence, and enjoy a tasting of sparkling wines in this atmospheric, almost sacred space. This is more than wine—it’s a cultural ritual preserved beneath the earth.
