Departing after breakfast, we travel through Botswana to the Nata area. Late afternoon we visit the Makgadikgadi Pans for a truly unforgettable sunset over what remains of an ancient 6500km2 lake.

Nata Lodge
An oasis set among the Mokolwane palms on the edge of the pans. It is ideally situated close to the entrance to the Nata Sanctuary and is just off the main road, 10 km from Nata village. This is the junction to the Okavango, Chobe and Francistown areas. Nata Lodge offers 22 Luxury thatched chalets built on stilts and set in rustic African style, 10 luxury safari tents are built on raised wooden platforms which are nestled under the lodges many Marula trees. The lodge also offers campsites; able to accommodate 150 pax.
A 3 hour drive takes us to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango delta and Moremi game reserve. We change from our overland vehicle into open 4x4 vehicles and proceed to our accommodation situated at the edge of Moremi game reserve. Moremi is lush and varied, shallow flooded pans, plains and forests. It is one of Africa's finest areas for wildlife, with particularly high game densities including all major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species in the region and over 400 species of birds. Days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in the private concession and inside Moremi.

Thamalakane River Lodge
Thamalakane River Lodge is placed on the banks of the Thamalakane River, just 19kms from Maun, and en route to the famous Moremi Game Reserve. Character en-suite stone chalets, some with private splash pools are positioned in the shade of the riverine forest, overlooking the river. Chalets, public areas and the swimming pool take advantage of the 180 degree view of the riverbanks lined with fluttering reeds visited by an ever changing array of water fowl and birds. It is a delightful place to come home to after a day spent exploring
Driving round the pan handle we traverse to the northwest of the Okavango Delta. We arrive at Swamp Stop and our lodge on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Game walks are also done on the smaller islands in the area subject to the water levels of the delta.

The Camp features 12 en-suite newly renovated rooms each with its own veranda, deck, mini bar, dedicated power, water, light, dustbin and fire pit facilities. The camp has two swimming pools, a fully licensed bar, restaurant, a viewing deck and an elevated lounge over looking the Okavango River. Swamp Stop is the ideal gateway to the Okavango Delta.
Departing the Delta we cross into Namibia and continue to the Eastern side of the Caprivi Strip. A 20 minute boat trip takes us to our lodge overlooking the flood plains of the Zambezi River.

In the heart of southern Africa, approximately 2000km from the southern tip of the continent and from the equator, and equidistant between the Indian and Atlantic oceans, lies Namibia’s best-kept secret, the Zambezi Region. The lodge sings its tributes to the colours of the water, the surrounding riverine vegetation and the clear blue sky, adopting the local Silozi name for colour - 'Mubala'. It tastefully explores this delicious theme in its shades of gentle blues and sea greens that punctuate wicker chairs and tint bungalow walls.
Crossing back into Botswana we overnight on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The afternoon of arrival is free for an optional game drive. Day 11 we relax on a 4x4 morning game drive and a sunset game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River.
