This 5-day Portuguese vacation showcases Lisbon and includes day trips to other Portuguese landmarks, including Sintra and Fatima. It features first-class accommodations and private tours.
Your journey begins in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital and a stunning town of cobbled alleys and domed cathedrals hiding world-class food, music, and history. A full-day tour will take you to some of the city’s great sights and introduce you to its fascinating history. Start in the Discoveries Quarter and see Jeronimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem, the city’s most famous landmarks. Then explore the central squares of downtown Lisbon before ending your tour in the modern neighbourhood of Parque das Nacoes. That evening, enjoy a new view of the city as it’s lit up under the night sky. Stop by Belem to see the tower illuminated on the water before heading for dinner and enjoying a Fado performance and folk dance show.
While based in Lisbon, you’ll head on two full day tours to explore other significant parts of Portugal. One day you’ll journey to the quaint village of Sintra, best known for the bright yellow Romanticist castle, Pena Palace. Afterwards, head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe, to enjoy the views over the coastline and visit the trendy resorts and casinos of Cascais and Estoril. Another day, head to Fatima, the most sacred site in the country, where three children witnessed a vision of the Virgin Mary in 1917. You’ll visit the sanctuary dedicated to the miracle before heading to the fishing village of Nazare and the medieval village of Obidos, home to a Moorish castle.
At the end of your stay, you’ll connect back to the airport to return home or continue to your next destination.
