Upon arrival in Maun, connect to your light aircraft flight for the airstrip at Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, about 140 kilometres southeast of Maun. On arrival at the airstrip, the camp staff will greet you and transfer you to the camp.

The balance of the day is at leisure to relax or begin your exploration of the National Park on a game drive.

Leroo La Tau

Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti Riverbed which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. The lodge offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy spectacular wildlife sightings. The lodge comprises thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms. The main lodge building is surrounded by an expansive wooden deck with a plunge pool, where guests can immerse themselves in the ultimate wildlife experience.

Leroo La Tau

A full day of guided game drives in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park focusing on the exceptional wildlife sightings along the Boteti River. Depending on the water level, boat activities are also provided.

Leroo La Tau translates as 'lion's paw' but, although the surrounding area features abundant Lion, Zebra and Wildebeest, it also boasts Chobe Bushbuck, Leopard, Cheetah, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Impala, Kudu, Jackal, Porcupine, Genet and Caracal, to name but a few.

This evening return to camp and enjoy dinner in one of the indoor or outdoor dinning areas.

The prime location of Camp Xakanaxa, pronounced Ka-ka-na-ka, on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, makes it one of the very few safari camps that offers guests an authentic, year round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience. The camp accommodates twenty-four guests in twelve spacious all canvas, classic Meru style luxury safari tents, with en suite showers, hand basins and toilet facilities. Situated around the fringe of the lagoon, every tent has a private viewing deck with comfortable loungers. Camp Xakanaxa is one of the few camps in Botswana which still offers the essence of a classic tented camp.

A full day spent in the Moremi Reserve as you explore this wonderful area on scheduled game drives and boat cruises. The diverse habitat ensures prolific sightings of Elephant, Buffalo, Hyena, Giraffe, Hippo, Wildebeest, Kudu, Lechwe, Lion and Leopard, among many others. Birding is spectacular, especially in the spring and summer months when the migrants are breeding.

The Chobe National Park is located in the Northern part of Botswana and lies along the Chobe River, which borders Botswana and Namibia. The Park is the second largest in Botswana and is known for its superb game viewing all year round, as it has one of the largest populations of game on the African continent. Chobe is probably best known for its impressive Elephant herds.

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent game lodge in the park. This small and intimate Lodge has interesting Moorish styling and overlooks the Chobe River. The lodge accommodates up to 94 guests in absolute luxury and all the rooms have private terraces. Other facilities include billiards, library, gym, beauty salon, a stylish cigar bar overlooking the Chobe River, a large terraced swimming pool and riverside boma area.

Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives are conducted by expert guides in open-sided 4x4 vehicles to ensure maximum visibility of Chobe National Park's spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife.
