Next, continue to The Cape of Good Hope Section of the Table Mountain National Park before meandering back along the coast, visiting Simon's Town, and ending your day at the penguin colony at Boulder's Beach where you get to watch these entertaining, waddling characters. This tour offers a fully immersive social and cultural experience combining a walking tour, hands-on cooking workshop, and 2-course lunch. Embark on a voyage into the life, food, and culture of the Cape Malay's in Bo Kaap before trying a hands-on, practical lesson on how to cook like a real Cape Malay 'Auntie'! Learn how to make a variety of Cape Malay favorites and how to mix Masala for that perfect pot of Cape Malay Curry! Learn how to mix Masala, and make Rotis, Samoosas, Dhaltjies, and Chicken Curry from scratch! Afterward, enjoy the delicious feast you have helped create for lunch.
After lunch, head out on your afternoon tour of Cape Town, the 'Mother City'. city tour. Sense the depth of history as you drive past Parliament Buildings, City Hall, and the Slave Lodge before stopping for a short visit to the Castle of Good Hope (optional), originally built as a maritime replenishment station and now the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa! Alternatively, we walk around the Grand Parade square which has its own historical significance. We hear of the brief history of District Six en route to a visit at the Company Gardens where we walk through the landscaped gardens. Trace the moves of a professional diamond cutter as he creates every girl's dream stone with a visit to a diamond-cutting factory. After learning more about the history of diamonds and gold in South Africa, we drive past the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Stadium, Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay as we make our way to Table Mountain where you can ascend to the top (Cable Ariel way ticket included -- weather permitting) to reach the summit. Discover why the Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world as you tour the Zimbabwean side, which offers various vantage points along the width of the Falls, to view this natural phenomenon. Stop at several vantage points to view the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island, and Livingstone Island. Witness the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of liters of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below.
After your tour, head to The Lookout Café for a delicious lunch as you look over the turbulent rapids of the Zambezi River, overhanging a giant chasm of the Batoka Gorge, just down from the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge which forms part of its spectacular backdrop.
