Upon arrival in Marrakech, please proceed through customs and immigration formalities. Our representative will meet you outside the Arrival Terminal. After a short drive, you will arrive at your hotel, where you can take some time to rest and refresh. At 4:30 PM, your driver will meet you at the reception to bring you to a hammam, a traditional Moroccan spa. Historically, the hammam was a public bathhouse for locals to cleanse after traveling through the desert. In the hammam, you will be immersed in a stress-free experience within an authentic oriental decor, listening to your own body in an atmosphere filled with water, oils, essences, and perfumes. Enjoy a 30-minute scrub performed by expert hands using black soap or soothing spices to eliminate toxins from your body. After your hammam, move to the massage room for a 30-minute traditional Moroccan massage to relieve tension and rejuvenate your energy and vitality. A tea will be served in the relaxing room before you leave. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Your Accommodation

La Maison Arabe

Ideally situated in the medina, the hotel includes 26 rooms and suites, most with private terraces and fireplaces, 3 restaurants, a piano bar, a world-famous cooking school (open to guests staying at the hotel or elsewhere in town) as well as a new spa including a traditional hammam, where natural products from the region of Marrakech are used. Guests at La Maison Arabe have a choice of swimming pools. One can relax at either the heated pool in the hotel's garden patio, or at the pool located at our spectacular Country Club, 15 minutes away by complimentary shuttle. Walking through the hotel's flower-filled patios, one can admire the traditional Moroccan craftsmanship (tadelakt walls, chiseled plaster, cedar wood ceilings) that has created a refined, exotic and serene atmosphere.

La Maison Arabe

This morning after breakfast, transfer to Essaouira. En route, you will explore the world of Moroccan wines with a visit and lunch at the vineyard and winery, Val d'Argan. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a tour of the vineyard and facilities where five ranges of wine are produced: red, white, rosé, gris, and the most recent orange. Learn about the different kinds of grapes, what it is like to grow vines in Morocco, and how the production process works. Then, use your newfound knowledge to pair wines with delicious local food served on the patio. After lunch and a short drive, visit an argan oil cooperative where you will observe how it is made, by women who are preserving this ancestral practice in the modern world. You will learn more about cosmetics and products created from argan oil, and receive a surprise gift. Continue to Essaouira, a city with a distinct multicultural feel resulting from Portuguese, French and Jewish populations that once called it home. Its mild climate and extensive stretches of ocean sand also place it among Morocco's top beach towns. Essaouira's walled medina was added to UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2001. Its well-preserved, late-18th-century fortified layout is a prime example of European military architecture in North Africa. For visitors, the mellow atmosphere, narrow winding streets lined with colorful shops, whitewashed houses, and heavy old wooden doors make it a wonderful place to stroll.
