In the morning drive east to visit Penglipuran Village, a peaceful village which is popular amongst travelers as an excellent gateway from urban life. This is evident when you see how serene Penglipuran is from the traditional architecture of the houses as well as the immaculate gardens surrounding the village. Nearby is the village's bamboo forest where a walk is recommended. Drive up, along the road you will see local people displaying their handicrafts. Upon arrival at Kintamani, a town set around the rim of the Mount Batur crater, look out over Bali s most active volcano, Mount Batur, which soars over 1,800 meters into the sky. In the centre is a beautiful turquoise green lake, the largest lake of the island. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant with a great view. Taking the road of Tampaksiring, visit Tirta Empul Temple where the holy springs flow water to Bali's rivers and fields, supporting life to people and nature. Balinese Hindu worshipers have been drawn to this temple for many years to bathe in its refreshing blessed water, and this tradition still continues today. Drive back to hotel passing Tegallalang with its iconic rice terraces view.
