Breakfast buffet in the hotel. Morning departure by train towards Trondheim. Departure from hotel around 7:30am and arrival at Trondheim around 2:30pm (depending on train schedule). This journey will offer you stunning views of the Norwegian countryside, longest lake Mjosa and Vinstra region along the way. Upon arrival, take a panoramic city tour of Trondheim ending at the hotel. Afterwards enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Trondheim is the third largest city in the country. Vikings settled on the estuary of the Nidelven River in the tenth century. Before the sixteenth century it was called Nidaros. Green and flowery city, it is pleasant to stroll in the center, in the pedestrian streets and the old quarters. Panoramic tour of the city with a glimpse of the Cathedral of NIDAROS, which is one of the most beautiful Gothic ensembles in Northern Europe.

Scandic Nidelven Hotel

Welcome to Scandic Nidelven, the hotel that has won the prize for having "The Best Hotel Breakfast in Norway" for 10 years in a row. The hotel is fantastically located in the centre of Trondheim, 17 metres out into the beautiful river Nidelven. It offers great conference facilities adapted to suit our customers' wishes and needs.

Early Breakfast buffet in the hotel. After breakfast, a bus will transfer you for boarding on Cruise latest by 9am. We sail through the wide Trondheim fjord that is bounded by rolling farmland and enter the coast and then the open sea. You can disembark in Kristiansund and be driven along the Atlantic Ocean Road (Optional Activity with a supplement), which has been called the world's most beautiful drive. The road meanders along islets and skerries, and afterwards you can re-embark in Molde. Lunch on board. Dinner and overnight in superior sea view cabins. (Cruise supplier is either Havila or Hurtigruten, depending on the date).

MS Kong Harald

The King is a skilled sailor, even representing Norway in sailing at the Olympic Games three times. In 2016, at the age of 78, he and his team finished second in the Sailing World Championships. MS Kong Harald was upgraded to a greener hybrid ship in 2023. Emissions are cut by large battery packs combined with the ships efficient and brand-new engines, reducing fuel consumption and CO2-emissions by approximately 25 percent. The ship is also updated with state-of-the-art wastewater treatment equipment, and SRC technology that reduce NOx emissions by at least 80 percent. In addition, cabins on deck 2 and 3 were refurbished.   The vessel was also refurbished in 2016 to feature a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. On board are three different restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna and fitness room. Out on deck you can enjoy the view from one of our two hot tubs. There is a comfortable bar at the front of the ship where you can enjoy a nice traditional drink.  MS Kong Harald also has a large compass area where you find the reception, the Expedition Team, conference room and shop. The top deck of the boat features a sun deck, observation saloon and panorama lounge, all of which provide splendid views of spectacular coastal scenery.

Breakfast buffet on board the cruise. The last day of the cruise takes you through a diverse coastal landscape of bare rocky mountains and a maze of sounds and waterways. The great fjords and glaciers are situated inland. Bergen awaits at the end of the voyage. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture, and exciting urban life all year around. Lunch on board of the cruise. Arrival to Bergen at 2:45pm. Upon arrival meet your local guide and enjoy a 2-hour tour of the city of Bergen. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the church of Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market.

The Floibanen funicular in Bergen is one of Norway’s best-known and most visited attractions. The journey up to Floyen (320 m, 1,050 ft, above sea level) takes about 5-8 minutes. After funicular trip you will taste a platter with specialties like smoked salmon, fresh shrimp or hot smoked whale in one of the restaurants at the fish market. At 2pm sail through the Osterfjord on this roundtrip fjord cruise from Bergen to Mostraumen. Admire views of landmarks like the colorful Bryggen wharf (UNESCO World Heritage List), mountainsides, waterfalls, and the Mostraumen strait. Return to Bergen at 5:30pm. Breakfast buffet in the hotel. In the morning departure towards Hardangerfjord. Short cruise to reach Bondhus. From here you will start your hiking adventure. The trail is very easy and one way hike that will take approximately 60 minutes. The magnificent icefall and valley have drawn tourists since the mid-1800s. As you walk from the quay in Sundal, a hamlet on the shore of the Maurangerfjord, you are retracing a historic path toward Bondhusvatnet lake. Late afternoon, depart towards Voss through Hardanger, known as one of the most romantic destinations in Norway. Fruit production is the core of Hardanger, and in Summer the fjord is surrounded by rows of fruit trees blossoming in pink and white. Add the views to snow-covered peaks, and the romantic vibes are complete. Whether you are inside the vessel’s lounges or standing outside on deck, you will have a great view of the scenic landscape dotted with small farms and villages.

First part of the train journey takes you to Myrdal station. Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction, located about 13 km (8 miles) from the village of Flam. There you will switch to the Flamsbana train. Flamsbana is one of the steepest trainlines in the world and the train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers many viewpoints that will leave you wanting to repeat the journey again. Whether you arrived here by bus or train, in Flam you will *Schedule permitting, join a cruise to Gudvangen, sailing through the idyllic Sognefjord, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
