Board our Yarra Valley Wine Experience - Enjoy personalized tour in the company of an average number of 12 -24 people. Our AWTC Wine Expert guide, who will entertain guests while taking in the sights during the journey to the Yarra Valley. After an approx. 1-hour transfer to Yarra Valley we arrive at a premium cellar door to enjoy the first tasting. Guests will learn how to swirl, sniff, slurp and then enjoy an extensive cellar door tasting at an iconic Yarra Valley cellar door. The next destination is Balgownie Estate, with spectacular views and a great display on the history of winemaking. The cellar door staff will share some of their great wines with guests before moving onto a delicious 1 course lunch to include a glass of wine and tea or coffee.
Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort and Spa your overnight destination
After lunch clients say goodbye to the group and make your way to reception to check in for a relaxing overnight stay.
Accommodation is a 1-bedroom Spa Suite.
There are activities to enjoy in the afternoon to include access to the Health Club (experience pool, steam room and gym equipment). Leisure facilities include tennis court, volleyball net, giant chess set and 1.6km walking trail.

A leisurely one hour's drive or approximately 65 km from Melbourne's CBD and the airport. Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort and Spa is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, amongst the undulating green landscape, which is accentuated by the striking geometry of corridors of grape vines. The hotel is comprised of 69 spacious and sophisticated guest suites and rooms. All the rooms are elegantly appointed with soft furnishings, muted colour ways and subtle mood lighting.
Breakfast is included with the rest of the morning free time.
Guests must vacate the room as per check in instructions. Luggage storage is available on request with hotel staff.
Lunch is at client’s own expense.
1:00pm Guests make their way into the cellar door to meet your AWTC driver guide.
Enjoy an extensive cellar door tasting at 2 premium wineries.
Tour return time will be between 4:30pm – 5:00pm. Drop off location will be as per your pickup location.
Only space for 1 small overnight bag per guest. Suitcases and large bags to remain in Melbourne.
Accommodation check-out time: checkout time is 11:00am however late checkout requests can be satisfied most of the time but cannot be guaranteed. We recommend clients requesting at time of check-in.
A late checkout will be requested at time of booking by us however due to high occupancy on weekends it is not always available.
