This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Your expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum.
Drive along the fertile plain of Boeotia, crossing the towns of Thebes, connected with the tragedy of king Oedipus-Levadia and Arachova, famous for its colourful rugs and carpets (short stop). Arrive at Delphi, the centre of the ancient world - the 'Omphalos' (Navel) of the Earth, whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic world. On the slopes of mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the museum containing such masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Return to Athens by the same route.

On your way to Elafonissi you will have the chance to see some of the beauties of Chania. At your first stop, at the Cave of Aghia Sofia, you can either visit the cave or/and have breakfast at the coffee place right before the cave (breakfast not included in rate). During the driving to Elafonissi you will notice the big difference between the north and the south part of the island. Right before the arrival at Elafonissi, you will see the monastery of Chryssoskalitissa standing on the rocks! It's only 10 minutes left before arriving at the Cretan Caribbean as that's how they call Elafonissi beach! Definitely you should visit the island of Elafonissi, standing right in front of you! It will only take you about 30 minutes to see the wild part of this fantastic place! On your way back to Chania, a small stop at the typical Cretan village of Elos will give you the change to refresh for the heat of Elafonissi!
The Palace of Knossos dates from 2500 BC and is a 'must see' during your stay on Crete. Your journey takes you early in the morning eastwards along the coastline to Heraklion, the island's capital. During the two hour trip stop halfway near Rethymnon for breakfast. Your arrival at Heraklion is around 10 o'clock and your first stop is the Palace of Knossos. Your guide takes you through the galleries and rooms of the Palace where the power vitality of a long ago era is so strikingly present. The great Minoan civilization was the first advanced civilization of the whole Europe and you can see evidence of how people lived and worked during this period. Knossos was the Royal Palace of King Minos and is wonderfully decorated with frescoes depicting lively scenes in vibrant colours. After a short drive you arrive at Heraklion's Archaeological Museum which houses all the original pieces from Knossos and other archaeological sites including frescoes, intricate gold jewellery and engraved linguistic tablets of the period. Afterwards you have free time to stroll around the city and go for lunch. Depart Heraklion at 15:30 and arrive back to Chania approximately 18.00.
